COVID-19 Preparedness Plan for North Ballet Academy
North Ballet Academy is committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for all staff, students, and their families. To ensure we have a safe and healthy workplace, NBA as developed the following COVID-19 Preparedness Plan in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. NBA Staff are all responsible for implementing this plan.
Our goal is to mitigate the potential for transmission of COVID-19 in our community.
North Ballet Academy’s COVID-19 Preparedness Plan follows the industry guidance developed by the state of Minnesota, available at the Stay Safe Minnesota website (https://staysafe.mn.gov), which is based upon Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) guidelines for COVID-19, Minnesota Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MNOSHA) statutes, rules and standards, and Minnesota’s relevant and current executive orders.
The following protocols are in place:

Ensuring staff and students stay home if they are sick or have been exposed to someone who is sick, including quarantine if necessary, according to MDH and CDC guidelines

Social distancing – staff and students remain six-feet apart whenever possible following markings in the lobby space and the studios, limited class sizes

Face coverings (as described by the MDH) as guided by MDH, students, and other patrons unless exempt in accordance with the Executive Order and allowed under the ADA (See current Mask Mandate)

HEPA filtration systems used in lobby and studio spaces

Studio floors and barres as well as other frequently touched surfaces are disinfected between classes and at the beginning and end of the day

Sanitation stations located at the entrance of the building, the entrance of each studio, throughout the lobby, and inside each studio as well as the workshop space

Parents drop off dancers age 8 and above, those with a dancer 7 and under should wait in the lobby area allowing one adult per dancer

Zoom attendance available for students with potential exposure
Scheduled special events (including performances) subject to change in order maintain compliance with updated MDH and CDC guidelines
