North Ballet Academy seeks to inspire growth
through the art of ballet.
With a team of exceptional and expert staff (click here for staff and faculty bios), North Ballet Academy offers classical ballet instruction for novice, intermediate, advanced, and adult dancers. Aimed at both the recreational dancer and the aspiring professional, North Ballet Academy provides instruction to foster the development of the art of ballet and encourage proficiency in ballet performance and choreography. Through distinct performing arts opportunities, North Ballet Academy seeks to expand the community’s exposure to, appreciation for, and understanding of ballet, movement, and music.
Instruction comprehensively trains dancers as they are taught ballet exercises at the barre and center floor. This training enhances the development of proper ballet technique and enables dancers to progress toward more complex dance combinations and choreography. While the focus of each class is designed for the enjoyment of all dancers, the teaching emphasis maintains a concentration of training in foundational ballet repertoire, based on the Vaganova Classical Ballet style. Ballet class curriculum, at all levels, is directed at expanding ballet terminology, raising musical awareness, and evolving choreography aptitude.
North Ballet Academy brings the art of ballet into the community through performances and educational outreach in locations such as elementary schools, homeschool groups, senior centers, assisted living facilities, and community education classes. In addition, North Ballet Academy seeks to bring together distinct Arts experiences and diverse fitness opportunities to the surrounding community. This is accomplished through providing short-term workshop opportunities at North Ballet Academy's Center for the Arts.
