Rogers Ballet

The North Ballet Youth Company invites and welcomes high calliber professionals from the classical ballet world to join local students on stage in an effort to expose aspiring ballet students, as well as the community, with an "up close and personal" opportunity to experience classical ballet.

Thank you to Stanislov Ivanov, from the Gulf Coast Performing Arts Center, and Arolyn Williams and Christopher Sellars, from Ballet West, for helping us bring classical ballet into the community!


Ms. Stephanie Heston- Artistic Director, 2009-2011

Ms. Heston is originally from Topeka, Kansas.  She began her professional career with the Eglevsky Ballet of New York in 1995 and was promoted to Principal Dancer in 1998.  Ms. Heston then joined Ballet Internationale of Indianapolis where she had the great honor of working with world renowned ballerinas, Irina Kolpakova and Tatiana Pali.  When Ballet Internationale abruptly folded in 2005, she joined Ballet West as a guest artist for the remainder of their 2006 season.  She spent the final three seasons of her performing career as a Principal Dancer with Dance Alive National Ballet in Gainesville, Florida.

Ms. Heston has performed principal and soloist roles in numerous classical ballets such as Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, Giselle, Don Quixote and Les Sylphides, as well as in works by contemporary choreographers.  She has danced in ballets by Eldar Aliev, Alberto Alonso, Vladimir Angelov, George Balanchine, Fleming Flindt, John McFall, Michael Pink, Anthony Tudor and Oleg Vinogradov, among others.  Ms. Heston has been a principal guest artist with several companies and has toured extensively throughout the United States, China and Taiwan.
